It’s that time of year again, and there’s nothing more exciting than the Wimbledon Championships!

So for you tennis fans here is some information we thought you might be interested in:

What’s changed for the 2018 Championships?

• One of the most notable differences this year is the increase in prize money, from £31.6m in 2017 to a whopping £34m – an increase of 7.6%.
• This figure is all the more astounding when compared to the prize fund of 10 years ago, which was only £11.8m
• Singles champions will each receive £2.25m in prize money.
• There will also be no clock on the court to keep track of the 25 seconds allowed between points in 2018.
• And there won’t be any plastic straws at Wimbledon this year either. So you’ll be having your Pimms straight from the glass.
