London is full of famous landmarks and sights and if you are visiting for a weekend, there is enough to see without having to take a step off the beaten track. However, if you are looking for somewhere more adventurous to eat and drink, rather than the chains that you can go to at home, then there is an abundance of cool, sophisticated and quirky places for you to go to.

Four Thieves

Based in Battearse, Four Thieves offers something that not many other places in London do. Imagine a room filled with old arcade games, mini golf, virtual reality and an electric car race track. Can’t think of anywhere with all of that? Four Thieves has it all under one roof. Head down for a fun filled evening with a group of friends!

Tonight Josephine

With two locations in London, one in Waterloo and the other in Shoreditch, Tonight Josephine offers a picture perfect cocktail in a glitzy pink neon surrounding. With high tables with benches and bar stools, a black and white patterned floor and neon lights shaped into messages and images on the walls, this place is like no other. It is a great place to go with your girlfriends after a long day at work or just for a catch-up and a good Instagram picture.

Blame Gloria

Based in Covent Garden, Blame Gloria is a basement cocktail bar which is boldly decorated in floral patterns with cosy booths and bar tables. Serving an array of delicious looking cocktails and with a great happy hour between 5 pm – 7 pm, if you are in the area, there is nowhere else to go! They even have a food menu coming soon. The only catch to this great spot is that they have an age limit of 21 but it’ll be worth the wait for a fun night in a quirky bar.

Caboose

Just off Brick Lane, you will find Caboose, and old train carriage with wooden benches and tables, which has become a private dining room. You can hire this space for up to 13 people and have it for three hours, along with the pleasure of having your own private cook. The food is a selection of slow cooked BBQ meats along with a selection of starters, sides and desserts. Caboose, however, do not just offer private dining. If you want to have the enjoyment of their delicious food but not have the private dining experience, then you can pop along to one of their pop-ups and street food locations across the city. If you fancy some of the best slow cooked BBQ food accompanied by a quirky, intimate surrounding, then this is the place for you!
