So the 1st of December has come and gone, which can only mean one thing-the festive season has sprung on us again. It is time to get the tree out, plug in those fairy lights, put the Bublé on repeat and re-stock the cupboards with mince pies and mulled wine. But if you are someone who needs a helping hand to get in the Christmas spirit, then the JG team are here to assist

1.       Dust off those decorations

Here at JG HQ, our office has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland. We have adorned our walls with Santa and Rudolf bunting, put up our cute little tree and have hung up fun honeycomb balls. As soon as you are surrounded with all the golds, whites and reds, it is hard not to get excited about the month ahead.

2.       Bake some festive treats

Nothing will fill you with the Christmas spirit more than the smell of Christmas goodies wafting through your house. Breaking from the tradition of baking minced pies and yule logs, the JG team invite you to try this fun gingerbread wreath. It looks good and will definitely taste good too. https://www.bakingmad.com/gingerbread-men-wreath-recipe/  However if you want to indulge this year, why don’t you try baking your own Christmas classic- the After Eight http://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/after-dinner-mints/

3.       Participate in Secret Santa

Ahead of our Xmas party next week, we have already dished out our Secret Santa’s around the office. It offers the perfect opportunity to buy something funny/personal for your colleagues and spread the festive cheer. There are loads of fantastic websites that you can use to shop from the comfort of your own home without having to endure the hustle and bustle of the Christmas shoppers traffic. notonthehighstreet.com (http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/christmas/secret-santa-gifts) offer some amazing pressies as does gettingpersonal.co.uk (https://www.gettingpersonal.co.uk/christmas-gifts/secret-santa)

4.       Go out for a Xmas lunch

Christmas is the time of year to over indulge in a big way, and it all kicks off with the work Christmas Do. This year the JG Team are heading to the Big Easy on Kings Road (http://bigeasy.co.uk/) where we will be eating and drinking ourselves merry. Just being with and having a laugh with your friends/colleagues/whoever over some wine and massive piles of food is really what Christmas is all about.

5.       Snuggle up and watch  a Xmas film

You can embrace the Christmas festivities from the comfort of your own home by curling up under a blanket and watching your favourite festive film. There are too many to choose from (and anything with Christmas in the title is bound to be amazing) but our favs here at JG are Love Actually, Elf and Home Alone. If they don’t get you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, then we don’t know what will!!
